NAXOS label to release on December 2016 the new CD Celso Garrido-Lecca: Orchestral Works by Conductor Miguel Harth-Bedoya

miguel harth-bedoya noticia verticalNAXOS label will be releasing Celso Garrido-Lecca: Orchestral Works on December 2016, 90th Anniversary album homage to Peruvian composer Celso Garrido-Lecca. The CD contains four symphonic works: “Andean Folk Dances”, “Symphonic Tableaux”, “Peruvian Suite” and “Laudes II”, all recorded by the Norwegian Symphony Orchestra and Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra under the baton of the recently nominated to a Grammy 2017 Conductor Miguel Harth-Bedoya.

Miguel Harth-Bedoya, winner of an Emmy and nominated to various Grammys for Traditions and Transformations: Sounds of Silk Road Chicago with Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Yo-Yo Ma back in 2009, and nominated for “Best Opera Recording” at the Grammy Awards 2017 for the production “Higdon: Cold Mountain”, is the Chief Conductor of Norway Radio Orchestra and the Music Director of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra since the year 2000. He is the Founder and Artistic Director of Caminos del Inka, a non-profit organization dedicated to promote south American music composers; his programme Caminos del Inka: A Musical Journey, was premiered by Chicago Symphony Orchestra and performed in the USA by the symphony orchestras of Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Seattle, and Fort Worth and worldwide by Leipzig Radio, Aarhus Symphony and the Residentie Orkest in The Hague. 

garrido-lecca-naxosIn addition to NAXOS CD release on December 2016, Miguel Harth-Bedoya has recorded for Harmonia Mundi label the CD New South American Discoveries with the Norway Radio Orchestra to be released in November 2016, the Lutoslawski Concerto for Orchestra and Brahms (arr. Schoenberg) Piano Quartet with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra published on April 2016, the first of a complete cycle of the Prokofiev Piano concertos on February 2016, featuring 2013 Van Cliburn Competition winner, Russian pianist Vadym Kholodenko, with whom he previously recorded and released on 2015 a CD of Saint-Saëns Piano Concerto with the Norway Radio Orchestra.
