The mezzo-soprano Zandra McMaster, together with the Conductor Yaron Traub and musicians of the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra

The mezzo-soprano Zandra McMaster, together with the Conductor Yaron Traub and musicians of the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, received the applause of the large audience that filled the Euskalduna Palace Hall in Bilbao, after the concerts offered on 3 and 4 February 2012, in where she performed the Symphony No. 1 "Jeremiah" by Leonard Bernstein. The rest of the program included the "Pavane for a Dead Princess" by Ravel and Symphony No. 9 "The Great" of Franz Schubert. Despite the large icy weather, with a heavy snowfall in Spain, it was surprising that the auditorium was filled to 80% capacity. Maybe is because the Mezzo is well known in Bilbao, where she sang last October in a special concert with the Choir of Bilbao and the prestigious BBC Symphony Orchestra and its chief conductor Jiri Belohlavek, and that on this occasion was her tenth concert with the Bilbao Symphony.
