Congratulations to pianist Vadym Kholodenko whom received a Diapason d’or de l’année 2018 in the piano category for his CD of solo works by Scriabin (Harmonia Mundi) at the Annual Awards Ceremony held on the 20th of November of 2018, and broadcasted on France Musique.
This latest award follows accolades for his recordings of concertos by Grieg, Saint-Saëns and Prokofiev, with the second instalment of his Prokofiev Piano Concerto cycle released next February of 2019.
The award ceremony in Paris came during a busy autumn for the 2013 Cliburn winner, alongside recitals in Tokyo, Vienna Konzerthaus, Milan, Warsaw and Wigmore Hall (2 December) whilst orchestral engagements include the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Staatskapelle Weimar and Copenhagen Philharmonic. |
In Spain he recently visited us in September to perform Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No.3 with Málaga Philharmonic and previously he played with the OBC, ORTVE and the OCNE. The next 21st and 22nd of March of 2019 he will play with the OSPA under the baton of conductor Baldur Brönnimann. |
