Concert Review Joaquin Achucarro with the Symphony Orchestra of Castile and Leon, held on 26 and 27 January 2012, in Valladolid. Conductor: John Nelson

"In the Concerto No. 5 “Emperor” of Beethoven, Joaquín Achúcarro showed a more classic, concise, balanced and crystal vision of the author, at least in the first two timings, in which the conductor controlled the rhythm and dynamic orchestral speech, letting arrive the exquisite and clear sound of the soloist. The best example of Achúcarro came with the encore. The Nocturne No. 2 by Chopin got to the heart because the soloist lets the music flow naturally."
