Katia and Marielle Labèque record the CD Nazareno by Osvaldo Golijov and Gonzalo Grau

In January 2011, the duo Katia and Marielle Labèque recorded the Concerto "Nazareno"" by Osvaldo Golijov reviewed by Gonzalo Grau, in the Symphony Hall of the Auditorium Miguel Delibes in Valladolid, where they are Artists in Residence.

Apart from this interesting work, for this CD where also recorded works by Alberto Ginastera (Suite from the ballet Estancia) and Silvestre Revueltas (Suite Night of the Maya).

The Conductor was the young Peruvian Miguel Harth-Bedoya, Principal Conductor of the Fortworth Symphony Orchestra in the U.S. for ten years, and one of the conductors emerging from Latin America who will have a projection and important career in the coming years, under his baton was the magnificent Symphony Orchestra of Castile and Leon, great group that lately is standing at the head of the Spanish orchestras.

The stunning cover of this CD is the work of Fred Langlais, designer of Jean Paul Gaultier of Paris.

The production and recording has been for Deutsche Grammophon and the first edition of 2,500 copies was sold out in less than two months, the second edition has already been sold out.
