His Majesty the King of Spain Felipe VI has granted Maestro Ramón Tebar the Cross of Officer of the Order of Mérito Civil.

This well-deserved distinction is an official recognition from Spain "for Ramón Tebar's cultural achievements, and for the extraordinary work that he has done to preserve our common heritage to strengthen the ties between Spain and the United States".

"Maestro Tebar is definitely one of the most remarkable new lights in the orchestral conducting crop from modern Spain", marked out the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain, in a press release.

The Consul General of Spain in Miami, Cristina Barrios, will bestow this recognition upon Maestro Ramón Tebar on February 18^th of 2015, at the 10^th Anniversary Gala of the Opera Naples, Florida.
