Born in Madrid in 1995 into a family of musicians, at 13 years old she entered the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía. Later on she completed her studies at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler of Berlin, where she studied with Tabea Zimmermann, with whom she continues to expand her formation.

The critiques highlight her warmth, naturalness and security she displays on stage, which make of her a musician of reference among the young Spanish players. Thanks to her innovative view of music for the viola and her extensive repertoire, Sara has known how to reach with the sound of her instrument to a wide variety of audience.

She began playing the viola when she was 3 years old, and given her maturity as an interpreter, she started to perform on stage when she was 7, on some of the most important halls in Spain like the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, the Auditorio Príncipe Felipe in Oviedo or at L’Auditori in Barcelona. Since then, she has developed an international career, having appearances on emblematic halls such as the Berlin Philharmonie or Genève’s Victoria Hall. In 2013 she played as soloist with the Sony Orchestra under the baton of Frans Helmerson and in 2014 she made her return to the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid. In 2015 she played in three concerts with the Berlin Philharmonic.

Devotee of Chamber Music, Sara is frequently invited to play in prestigious festivals, such as the Kronberg Academy (Frankfurt) where she played with Gidon Kremer, Steven Isserlis, Christian Tetztlaff and Vilde Frang, at the Verbier Festival (Switzerland), Bad Leonfelden (Austria), Musika-Música (Bilbao), Casalmaggiore (Italy) and more recently in Zagreb (Croatia). She has also played with the Ensemble “Mutter Virtuosi” with the prestigious violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter.

Among her most important engagements for the present season, stand out her concerts as soloist with Orquesta Vigo 430 and with the Orquestra Ciutat de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya at L’Auditori in Barcelona. Sara plays a viola by Stephan Peter Greiner from 2015.
